Beauty bloggers – specifically those with color-treated hair – recently put Simply Smooth products to the test. With a name like “Simply Smooth,” we had certain expectations that the brand would take our colored locks – sometimes dry, damaged and over-treated – and make them, well, simply smooth. In short, we weren’t disappointed.

Biggest hair complaint: Frizz! Also it gets tangled way too much – because it is thick and damaged, when my hair gets tangled, it causes even more breakage.

What she looks for in a new product: Smell is something I pay attention to! If a new product smells yummy, I take note. But overall, immediate results is what I look for the most. If I can notice a difference in my hair after using a new product, it moves to the top of the list in my book.

Sitav’s experience: I really loved the Simply Smooth Magic Potion shampoo and conditioner! Not only did it smell AMAZING, but both of them had a gorgeous purple color that I’ve never seen in a hair product before! I also noticed my hair was immediately softer and less tangled after washing out the shampoo and conditioner. Although my hair was wet, I could run my fingers through my hair without hitting any snags, which is SUPER rare for me!

Biggest hair complaint: From transitioning from being brunette with a few highlights here and there to going full blown blonde, color fading might be one of my biggest concerns at the moment. I worry that my hair color is fading/becoming brassy to a more yellow blonde then keeping its beige-blonde color.

What she looks for in a new product: The biggest thing I look for when trying a new product is if it is a fit for my hair type and if it will weigh down my hair. I also make sure that any product that I put in my hair doesn’t have any harsh chemicals in them.

Caitie’s experience: The shampoo and conditioner are my absolute favorites! As soon as I washed my hair with the shampoo, I felt like my hair was already feeling refreshed. I could feel the conditioner working immediately as well. I loved the way that both products smelled and that they weren’t overpowering at the same time. Two days after I had washed my hair with the Magic Potion Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair STILL smelled and felt amazing!

Biggest hair complaint: Frizz is my biggest enemy. Humidity and my hair just don’t mix.

The first couple of times I tried them, I was worried the conditioner was too thick and would cause build-up, but I was surprised to see that upon drying, they both just made my hair feel smooth and silky.
